Evolve Through Art - Creative Arts Therapy, PLLC (ETA) is a private psychotherapy practice located in New York providing the following holistic services: 
  • art therapy
  • employee assistance program (EAP)
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
  • psychodynamic psychotherapy
Diana (ETA's founder and primary psychotherapist) uses integrative psychotherapy interventions tailored to your needs to help you make meaningful changes in your life, increase your self awareness, and assist you in exploring new ways of living your optimal life.  Sessions are offered both in English and Spanish; and when words are not enough we can use visual imagery and other expressive modalities.  At ETA psychotherapy is viewed as a holistic and preventive way of managing a healthy lifestyle and living a fulfilling life. With all the inevitable life transitions that we all face, everyone at any age can benefit from psychotherapy to sort things out and make well informed choices not dictated by your past or society.

​FOUNDER/PRIMARY PSYCHOTHERAPIST
Diana Gil Velez, MS, LCAT, ATR-BC, LP (permit)(pronouns: she/her/hers) is the founder and primary psychotherapist for ETA since 2012.  Diana has 14 years working in the mental health field in various capacities (e.g., primary psychotherapist, clinical coordinator, adjunct instructor, supervisor, and consultant).  Diana is a NYS licensed psychotherapist (LCAT: licensed creative arts therapist), registered art therapist (ATR), board certified art therapist (BC), and psychoanalyst-in-training (with a LP permit to practice psychoanalysis in NYS).  To help with trauma, she is trained in attachment focused EMDR.  For further information on Diana's current/past experience and extensive training, please see her curriculum vitae.
